After Cortina, we were in Venice at the beginning of February. The weather was great, no crowds and on the whole, we ate quite well.
Spaghetti with Scampi
Venice was for the most part empty — with most of the gondola’s tied up during the day. We even entered a restaurant at lunch time and saw a table of 20 gondoliers enjoying a leisurely lunch — red striped shirts and all.
Brian was talked into taking a gondola ride by Fabio.
It was just before Carnevale so the kids were already dressing up in costume.
